When installing mythbuntu 10.10 beta (AMD64) from the ISO image, the
installer fails to configure the audio built in to the GT220 card to
work over HDMI (it also fails to properly configure X,I have raised this
as a separate bug #644317).

It should configure the audio per this link:

and specifically it should modify or create the /etc/modprobe.d/sound.conf file to include the line:

options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=0 probe_mask=0xfff2

I then had to umute via "alsamixer" and then use "alsactl store" to save
the unmute setting so it is not lost on reboot and lastly I had to set
up mythtv to use ALSA:HDMI for the audio and then it will all work
correctly.

The above steps are what I have to manually do to get the audio over
HDMI on my Asus GT220 card working.

NOTE: I have disabled my on-motherboard audio so I only have the audio
on the GT220, if a user has more than one audio chip, then the setup
gets a little more complicated.  The above URL provides details on how
to get this working.
