[Bug 659535] [NEW] [xorg-edgers] r300g dri driver freezes after few minutes of playing games on Kubuntu 10.10

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: libgl1-mesa-dri

After few minutes playing Nexuiz with R300g DRI driver from xorg-edgers/radeon ppa my PC freezes (I only see static screenshot of game).
SysRQ commands doesn't work, I can't even ping or connect to my PC with SSH.
Tested configurations (all on Kubuntu 10.10RC LiveCD upgraded to final, installed on USB stick):
Mesa 7.9 from official Ubuntu repositories + R300 DRI from offficial Ubuntu repositories = stable
Mesa 7.10-devel from xorg-edgers/radeon ppa + R300 DRI from official Ubuntu repositories = stable
Mesa 7.10-devel from xorg-edgers/radeon ppa + R300 DRI (classic) xorg-edgers/radeon ppa = stable
Mesa 7.9 from official Ubuntu repositories + R300 DRI (classic) xorg-edgers/radeon ppa = stable
Mesa 7.9 from official Ubuntu repositories + R300g DRI (gallium3d) xorg-edgers/radeon ppa = unstable (freeze)
Mesa 7.10-devel from xorg-edgers/radeon ppa + R300g DRI (gallium3d) xorg-edgers/radeon ppa = unstable (freeze)

Tested on all xorg-edgers/radeon ppa packages from 27 September 2010 to
11 October 2010 for both Lucid and Maverick - tested on Kubuntu Maverick

The problem (freeze) is reproductable allways on R300g after few minutes
of playing game (from one to couple of minutes).
