I successfully installed the nvidia-current driver. However, when I open the Additional drivers dialogue, it says:
This driver is activated but not currently in use.

When I try to start compiz, it says
compiz (core) - Fatal: Software rendering detected.
compiz (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0.0

Launching fallback window manager

which is, I guess, a consequence of the wrong configured nvidia driver.
There used to be no problem a few days ago which is strange. Could you
please help me to activate the driver again?
