[Bug 670534] [NEW] Desktop very, very slow after upgrade to ubuntu 10.10

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati

I've working with ubuntu 10.04 so far without any big issue, doing fast
and good,

But after I upgrade to ubuntu 10.10 Maverick it become crazy slow, I've
removed the ATI RADEON Driver, then installed it again and the slow down
has gone, but I was not able to enable 3D and I could not play movies or
even change my desktop effects, then after find for a solution I got one
that brings back my ATI Driver for ubuntu 10.04 into my ubuntu 10.10,
then I was able to enable and run 3D,

Guess what, it got back the slow issue, now everything I call from
desktop just take a life to run, as I have seen int bug #544496 for
lucid,

As I am getting the same on ubuntu 10.10 Maverick it is new for this new
release

Thx in advance and I appreciate any help to fix this problem soon
