[Question #76344]: Enable wireless connection in other users
New question #76344 on Ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/76344
Hi,
I have a Toshiba 8100, ubuntu 8.10. It works fine, and my wireless adapter card netgear wg511T works can get on to the internet.
I entered a new user, and gave it admin rights and every other privileges. When I log in as the new user, I lose the wireless connection (there is no possible wired ethernet connection on this old laptop) connection, and don't even see the wire or wireless connection icon (two monitors). The netgear adapter card is blinking just the way it blinks when it works when I log in as the orginal user/administrator.
The System>Administration>Network Tools gives me the same information for the new user as it does for when I log in as the original user/administrator.
How do I get the wireless connection to work in the new user?
Thanks for your time and help.
Edmond
