How much?

That depends on what you´re about to use it for. Is your main OS Linux,
then you should use more space. 2 GB internal memory for example? Make a
swap of 4 GB. 4 GB for root partition is ok, but you better make it more
if you plan to install software and so on. 12 GB should do it. But if
you use Linux as your main OS, use much more. You need to store your
personal files as well. So in total. Use about 20 GB for your Linux.
