[Question #76349]: Unable to read "all" windows files
New question #76349 on Ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/76349
I got a new computer. My old one was a desktop running on x64 bit. The new computer runs on Vista 64bit (and Ubuntu). I tried dual booting XP with Vista first, but for some reason wouldn't work (even virtually)(With open partitions). Anyway I have my hard disk drive from the old computer. It has some important information on it. I got a ide to USB reader for it so I could connect it. and so it could read all the information. Vista won't read the drive (also tried it with Ubuntu). I don't know how to make it read the drive. I don't want to resort to buying a desktop that can use sata and eide so that I can get this information of the hard drive.
Questions:
How do I read all files from the Vista partition? (I'm unable to get in my documents and setting file.)
How can I read this ide to USB drive threw Ubuntu?
I got more issue to can I ask them when I'm done solving these problems.
