vijay gave more information on the question:
in system monitor, i select update manager and right click select end process.
ok then
shall i continue to re-install grub as you said above.then shutdown the computer.( i am not going to make cd for ubuntu(700 Mb) as you say.( i have no cd for ubuntu))
