[Question #76403]: No Automatic Wireless Connection
New question #76403 on gnome-utils in ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-utils/+question/76403
OS=Jaunty 9.04
Wireless Card = Linksys wmp11
On one of my older machines Network Manager does not reconnect automatically on a reboot.
In Network Manager I have already checked the item to connect automatically.
Here is what happens on reboot.
The Network Manager appears in the task bar with a red x. I then LT click the mouse on it. The name of the connection "wmp11" does not appear. I then select show hidden networks. A dialog pops up with "New" as the default. After clicking the drop down I seem "wmp11" (the name I gave to the connection) and select it. The CONNECT button lights up and I select it. I can then have access to the network and the Internet.
If there is some configuration file somewhere in the file system specifically what do I edit. I get the feeling that the selection in Network Manger is not being transferred to the configuration file.
