Then the file you have downloaded is not full or correct and needs
redownloading.

I suggest you download a proper Ubuntu release also. The disk you have
burned is useless as it is burned from bad data.

Download a Jaunty ISO from the official site MD5 check it using the MD5
hashes provided, burn it as slowly as possible and install it
