Hi,
Are you able to ping www.google.com or ping IP address 209.85.227.103
while using a wired connection in Ubuntu?
After you disable encryption on the router, it might be a good idea to
remove any wireless profiles that are stored in NetworkManager, then
click on "edit connections" in NetworkManager, and manually choose the
SSID (router name) of your wireless router.
