Guess you need to experiment with the wireless settings on the router. I
do not know which settings will work for you, as I cannot test this for
you and I do not have the same hardware. Try changing the wireless
transmission mode from "mixed" mode to wireless-G-only mode. Try
changing the wireless transmission channel to another channel, for
example: channel 3. For example: I see that a lot of people in your
vicinity are using channel 6 and nobody is using channel 3. Enable SSID
broadcasting, disable encryption on the router. Also try booting several
other Live CD's and see if they give a working wireless Internet
connection during the LiveCD Session. A good test is to boot from the
PuppyLinux LiveCD on your PC and see if it gets a working wireless
connection. But the problem is probably in the router configuration, not
in Ubuntu or other Linux distro's.

After you disable encryption on the router, it might be a good idea to
remove any wireless profiles that are stored in NetworkManager, then
click on "edit connections" in NetworkManager, and manually choose the
SSID (router name) of your wireless router.
