If you want to test completely. Find someone who has made a bart pe disk
(bootable xp cd, needs an xp install cd to make it) and boot to that, if
there are any windows readable partitions then the system will NOT ask
you to format it. (Do NOT format ANY partitions as this will destroy the
data)

Just a thought, or you could take out your drive and stick it in an XP
system and see what it makes of the whole thing
