[Question #77316]: When typing lowercase 'a' in terminal it registers as a tab.
New question #77316 on gnome-terminal in ubuntu:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+question/77316
When using Terminal I cannot type the lowercase letter 'a'. When pressing this key it always sends a tab character. I have attempted to copy/paste the letter but that does not work wither.
This started about a week ago and I have not been able to figure out what is going on. I am able to type 'a' in other applications with no issues and uppercase A registers without a problem. I have changed my keyboard layout, saved and then switched back to no avail.
Does anyone have suggestions on what I should try? I update my system daily so I am running the latest packages available.
Thanks for any help.
