Re: [Question #77262]: how can I get canoscan 3000F to work with ubuntu

Question #77262 on xsane in ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xsane/+question/77262

Tom proposed the following answer:
Hi again

To run "sudo sane-find-scanner" just go up to the top taskbar and click
on

Applications - Accessories - Terminal

and into the terminal/command window/console type

sudo sane-find-scanner

again it asks for your normal user password as it's not a command you should really be using carelessly. hopefully once set you wont want to accidentally keep resetting it or if other people play with your machine you wouldn't want them to have easy access to mess this up either ;)

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
