I have a HCL laptop, and after having switched over from windows to ubuntu, there are no options for power management. the gnome power manager 2.24.2 preferences does not show the option for computer speed policy. due to this my battery backup has reduced from 3. x hours to 2. x hours.....any ideas on how to sort this out?
