Hi

Sorry i didn't get back to you. I don't think that we can repair the
Windows without either using a Windows cd to get into their "recovery
mode" or "repair" or else just take the machine to a shop and get them
to fix it.

Uninstalling or reinstalling Ubuntu is unlikely to change that but
installing Ubuntu properly would at least get the machine working and
able to fully use all the data you have in Windows.

Deleting sda5 & 6 might be a good idea either way. If you could let us
know the info that the gparted program has in the bottom pane (the one
with all the text and numbers) then we should be able to help you get
Ubuntu onto your machine properly.

Please let me know if you do have a Windows Cd?

Thanks and regards from
Tom :)
