New question #77751 on firefox-3.0 in ubuntu:

Have 9.04 version of Ubuntu.
Downloaded "GoogleEarthLinux.bin" file  on the desktop, the same place where my terminal is. Clicked the "execute" box in permissions. The chmod command with the x option will ask for my passport and than informs me that it cannot locate the file. When I use the "search for file" option it has no problem locating it.
