it gives us the ID which fo the adapter is: 2001:3301
This can be used to websearch. I'd stick with the dell if it works on
its own (most likely an atheros chip but i digress)
anyhoo, you can download the source for the drivers as well as
installing the build-essential package to give you a compiler.You will
also need the kernel headers, you can get all this using the device you
have
Alternatively, just leave the dell usb in your systm and use the less
friendly device in another pc at a later date.
