Re: [Question #77990]: I cannot send messages. the error message i get is "SMTP server smtp1.ns.sympatico.ca does not support requested authentication type NTLM"

Question #77990 on evolution in ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+question/77990

    Status: Needs information => Open

Gene gave more information on the question:
Arnaudus

I went to Edit- preferences- chose email accounts- edit button-then
sending email and under this I unclicked a box that activated
'Server Requires Authentication" Then the two messages that were in my
out box flew as well as these requests to you guys.
Before I did this I got two messages that my help requests did not fly
either. Thats why I started digging around and trying something. I think
I got lucky. Could I have screwed up anything by unclicking thay box? If
not donn't bother answering this but if I should do something else
please let me know.
Thank you very much for your responses, to answer your question about
what I ment about
'it was working" Yes I have been sending and receiving email on
evolution for over a year with no problems until yesterday.

		Thanks again,

		Gene
