Re: [Question #78072]: total desktop freeze

Question #78072 on Ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78072

Tom proposed the following answer:
Well to solve sound issues maybe something in one of these 2 guides
might help

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingSoundProblems

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting

Also i found it helps to go up to a blank space on the top taskbar and
right-click on it, choose "Add to panel" and scroll down to about
halfway down the list. The icon of a broken window beside the title
"Force Quit" - add this one. Then any-time an application mis-behaves
you can click on the icon and then click on the window that's mis-
behaving in order to force it to close. In linux a single app
misbehaving shouldn't be able to freeze everything up so it sounds like
a bug to me (as Benny said) and so you might be best off using Banshee's
"Help" menu and choose "Report a problem" to post this as a bug-report
then hopefully someone will be able to fix it :)

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
