       chmod a+x RealPlayer11GOLD.bin
       sudo ./RealPlayer11GOLD.bin

Then I created a link to the realplay startup script in /usr/local/bin
to ensure the script is included in the system's $PATH:

            sudo ln -s /opt/real/RealPlayer/realplay /usr/local/bin
