It would probably be better to upgrade to a stable install of Ubuntu first.  The Wubi is designed as a demo version of Ubuntu and really isn't made for long-term use.  So either use part 8 of section 8 in this guide

Alternatively just install Edubuntu properly by putting it's cd in the cd/dvd-drive and reboot the machine, this should get you to a menu that has a default option "Try Ubuntu without changes to this machine", if you don't get to that then this guide might help

Using the "Try Ubuntu ... " should get you to a working desktop that we call a "LiveCd session", if it works.  It's a good way of testing the version you have to make sure it works well on your machine.  Most versions of linux have this functionality.  *buntus usually find your internet connection straight-away allowing you to surf into here or elsewhere via firefox.  If you find you're happy with it then installing like this would give you a proper linux system and provide a much more robust dual-boot system that works well with Windows

I have to say that i think the first option probably has the most merit
now that i've looked at Edubuntu a bit but it might be good to try the
LiveCd of Edubuntu first just to see how different it is.
