Re: [Question #78127]: Unable to bootup into xubuntu

Question #78127 on gdm in ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm/+question/78127

    Status: Open => Answered

Tom proposed the following answer:
Ok this is a bad Windowish type answer but what do people think about
using synaptic package manager to completely remove gdm and then
reinstall it again before rebooting?

On the top taskbar click on

System - Administration - Synaptic

it asks for your normal user password, not your Superuser/Root one and
then i usually find the search button better than the quick search tool
<shrugs> either should find "gdm" though :)

Good luck with this!
Regards from
Tom :)
