    Status: Answered => Open

Nagarjun is still having a problem:
Hi,
I did accordingly what you said. But it did not work out. And also The main problem is it is booting up but it is not showing the splash screen to enter the login credentials. Just I am seeing the cursor on a blank screen running....
so by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1 and then entering as admin i typed the following commands which i have seen in other threads
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

and go through the options.

Once done, type:

sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop
then
sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start

But it is of no use.....
