Lanza, sorry for the failure, I guess now you'll need to start reading log files.
system administration -> system log
syslog, Xorg.0.log, daemon.log, debug.log
No need to scroll through all this, just reproduce steps until the issue
happens, note the time or check logs which recently changed.
Could be a profile issue, rename .mozilla or remove one version of firefox, maybe there are some conflicts.
Of course backup important things like bookmarks.
Further down the road, it could be also a driver or network issue.
Check if above is correct configured.
