Re: [Question #78140]: How to make separate partitions for /home and filesystem directories at install 9.04
Question #78140 on Ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/78140
Status: Answered => Open
J.Humberto is still having a problem:
Ok...
Done.
GRUB loads ok, I recovered acces to XP and have Ubuntu installed...
But...
If I choose Ubuntu from GRUB, it starts loading it (symbol plus loading
bar) but the screen goes to black and is like the PC were on
hybernation. Can't use Ubuntu.
What may be happening?
I followed the indications: little 1GB (ok, a little more...lik 1100
MB) for swap partition, that red labeled one. All the other space to an
extended partition, divided in 6 GB for "/" and the rest 10 GB for
"/home" partitions, both with Ext 4 format. That's all...The install
program didn't tell me anything about wrong procedures... ?
Well...thanks a lot, at least I can use the win.. But, help pls!
Thanks
