Benny. I have seen you witha tonne of uestions on ere (no bad thing).
Did you by any chance MD5 check the ISO you installed with? Did you
verify the CD once burned?

Grub Error 2 : "Selected disk doesn't exist"

This error is returned if the device part of a device- or full filename
refers to a disk or BIOS device that is not present or not recognized by
the BIOS in the system.

I would check your grub config in /boot/grub/menu.lst

or simply reinstall grub from live cd:
