Also make sure to replace the model option m51va in /etc/modprobe.d
/alsa-base.conf with the model option hp-dv5

So replace

options snd_hda_intel model=m51va

with the following line

options snd_hda_intel model=hp-dv5

in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
