Hi :)
I think it also say "Please run "dpkg --configure -a""? On the top
taskbar click on
Applications - Accessories - Terminal
and into the terminal/command window/console type
sudo dpkg --configure -a
it will ask for your normal user password, not your SuperUser/Root one.
After that see if you can look at
System - Administration - Software Sources
