reading down the list of similar problem i spied this

sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt-get --fix-missing install
sudo apt-get clean all
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get clean all
sudo apt-get autoremove

not being one to sit idle i have tried it ... nope ,it is still giving
the same message after rebootm but at least it did not crash anything :)
