Re: [Question #79002]: Incorrect timestamps when accessing FAT formatted disk, timestamps are offset by the difference by local time and UTC.

Anders Bäckström confirmed that the question is solved:

Possible solution:
setting UTC=no   (instead of the default UTC=yes)
in /etc/default/rcS

This change seems to make ubuntu 9.04 handle file times stored on vfat
filesystems (by windows,digital cameras and mobile phones) correctly.

I hope this configuration change does not give any undesirable side
effects.
