Hi :)

It's usually better to get the LiveCd session working so that you can
see how the working desktop looks on yur machine before wiping off the
OS that does work at the moment, even if that is Windows ;)

So keep trying with the "Try Ubuntu without changes" option but this time try some boot-options

Hopefully just one or maybe a couple of these options will get you to the working desktop which we call a "LiveCd session"
