Re: [Question #79265]: create a partition
Question #79265 on Ubuntu changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/79265
Status: Answered => Open
C Jack is still having a problem:
Nothing to backup. New computer with no use yet. It only has the Vista
system on it - no data.
Have slowly worked my way thru the install windows and am at the window that lists 3 current partitions (?) sizes
/dev/sda/
Size Used
/dev/sda1 ntfs 17179 MB 10300MB
/dev/sda2 ntfs 151444MB 27900MB
/dev/sda3 ntfs 151445MB 3200MB
I selected the third one and clicked "Edit the Partition" which gave me this screen---
Edit a Partition
New partition size in megabytes 151145
Use as: EXT 3 Journaling file system
EXT 2 File System
ReiserFS journaling file system
JFS journaling file system
XFS journaling file system
FAT 16 file system
FAT 32 file system
NTFS
Swap area
Do not use the partition
Then the question - Format the partition ?
and the question- Mount Point - with some hidden options
