Ok, that's all looking good :)
Sorry i got delayed there too now. Now in gparted can you make all the unallocated space there, just after sda2, into a Primary Partition of ext3. This is going to be where to put 9.04. So this should make the drive look like this
/dev/sda2 Linux swap 1.04GiB
/dev/sda3 ext3 12.67GiB
/dev/sda1 ext3 60.79GiB
