[Bug 1243330] Re: Dangling directory and file in /etc/skel/ in chroot hook script

Hi Jack,

pishuilu proposed to add something like first run at the start time of a
user's session, so basically a program is started every login, and it'll
create the shortcut if the user's session is Ubuntu Kylin AND the
program never detects it never created a shortcut before (by detecting
if a hidden file is exist in user's home dir). Do you think this is
working for you?

Title:
Dangling directory and file in /etc/skel/ in chroot hook script

Bug description:
In ubuntukylin-default-settings's chroot hook script, it creates a
directory called 桌面 in /etc/skel, and copies firefox.desktop from
system path to /etc/skel/桌面/ . This will cause the files not being
tracked by dpkg database, dangling on the system.

Modifying /etc/skel is not recommended, and even it's decided to be
done, it should be done in a way that is more careful (at least track
  them using dpkg).
