Internet connection using 2Wire 802.11g usb wireless adapter

I am trying to use a 2Wire 802.11g usb wireless adapter to connect to
the Internet using a Gateway: 192.168.2.1 router.  But, I can't seem to
make it work.  And, I can't seem to figure it out with the information
that I have available.  I have ubuntu 9.10 installed.
