[Bug 1333818] [NEW] 14.04 USB Headset not recognized when plugged in

Logitech USB headset: isn't recognized (doesn't show up in the Sound
Settings applet) when plugged in after the system boots. If it is
plugged in at boot time, it is recognized, and can be removed and
reinserted successfully.
syslog and lsusb output are in the question (link above).
