Public bug reported:

The Session Setup window does not display the Recent Sessions, even
after having opened and edited numerous sessions. The area where the
list would appear, appears to be squashed (resizing the window does not
help). This problem seems to occur under Ubuntu 14.04.1 with the Unity
desktop as this issue is not present under Ubuntu Studio 14.04.1. with
the XFCE desktop.
