During testing of Lubuntu 15.14 32bit image     20150513, the
application "audacious" was unable to detect any suitable mixer
elements. After I launched the program two errors showed,

ALSA error: No suitable mixer element found.

ALSA error: snd_mixer_find_selem failed.

I expected the application to launch ready for the user to open an audio
file to run. I have an installed Lubuntu 15.10 64bit system that I am
using as a production system. The same problem existed when I launched
the same application. Even after installed the audio codecs "gstreamer",
audacious still could not detect a suitable mixer. The workaround will
be to remove alsa and install pulseaudio.

Expected results:
Audacious opens waiting for an audio file to be opened

Actual results:
Audacious was unable to find a suitable mixer element
