Re: [Bug 1455794] Lyx does not work properly with Springer's svmono book class.

Scott,
Is this to be done by email or some other way? I will assume email. Everything seems to be fine except for what shows on the LyX editing screen. The pdf is just as it is supposed to be, as is the exported Latex file. So I assume on the Latex end everything is fine. The issue is just what shows on the editing screen which I believe is controlled by the svmono.layout file. It is getting late and I am an old fart. Tomorrow when my mind is working better, I will put together some examples.

Thanks very much for your help. The open source world is amazing.

Ken

I am writing book with Springer. I have a problem trying to use svmono with Lyx that I think could easily be fixed by the LyX developers. I have asked them, but I have not gotten any response. Maybe if someone from Springer contacted them they might take the request seriously. The problem is this:
In the LyX/Latex source code (not the typeset version) the section numbering does not update with the chapter. For example you get

  Chapter 1
  	Section 1
  	Section 2
  Chapter 2
  	Section 3
  	Section 4
  …etc

  I would like to have

  Chapter 1
  	Section 1
  	Section 2
  Chapter 2
  	Section 1
  	Section 2
  …etc
  -------- OR --------
  Chapter 1
  	Section 1.1
  	Section 1.2

  2Chapter 2
  	Section 2.1
  	Section 2.2
  …etc
