Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. But I would be very
surprised if recordmydesktop outputs in 1920x1080 on any DE since it is
not able to do that due to technical limitations. See this upstream bug:

Support arbitrary sizes and offsets for the recorded screen region

Closing as "Incomplete" in lack of "Not reproducible".

  RecordMyDesktop records in full HD in Gnome-Shell only, none of the
  other DEs

  The only DE that recordmydesktop outputs 1920x1080 in is Gnome Shell.
  The others I tried recently (Unity, Xfce, KDE, LXDE) recordmydesktop
  outputs 1920x1072.
