[Bug 782822] Re: Fallback Mode doesnt start

 

You need to do the following:
~Under login screen, configure the system to NOT login automatically
~Do not set a default session option in login screen, it doesn't work (upsteam issue)
~On the login screen, it will give you a drop-down menu to choose your session type.  You may need to enable a password for your account, as this menu appears after selecting the user, but before login.  

This is not a bug, but a configuration issue.

  Fallback Mode doesnt start

Status in Ubuntu Gnome Remix Metapackages:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I want to run Gnome in the fallback mode as opposed to Gnome Shell, but when I log out and log back in Gnome Shell is still starting.
  I have selected use fallback mode under system settings and fallback mode is installed on my system.

  I am using Ubuntu 11.04 with the UGR repos enabled.
