Rationale for multi-selecting filters by default

 


Hi,

I think this was discussed here before, but it was during
one of those general Unity discussions, so I can't seem to
find it...

In Precise Unity, what is the rationale for multi-selecting
filters by default? Isn't single-selection a much more
common use case?

How about behaving like file managers and only multi
selecting filters when Ctrl or Shift are selected?
