Message #08806
Re: when I hit alt, I want to see all root menu items
Hello Ubuntu Design Team and Community,
this message is specially appropriate for Ubuntu Design, because it's
about symmetry, symmetry is beautiful and design is about beauty.
I want HUD and LIM to be symmetrical.
I want HUD to show me what root menu items are available. LIM already
does that.
If people who like to use mainly the keyboard get less than people who
like to use mainly the mouse, keyboard supporters will be jealous of
mouse supporters.
We click the three horizontal lines global menu icon to see File, Edit,
Show etc, then browse the menu using the mouse. For example, I can click
Edit, then click Preferences.
It should be like this:
We hit alt to see File, Edit, Show etc, then browse the menu using the
keyboard. For example, I can type Pre, then hit enter.
It is like this:
We hit alt, but we don't *see* what's available, so we have to *find*
what's available, but to *find* all root menu items that are available,
we would have to *type A, see what appears, delete A, type B, see what
appears, delete B, type C, see what appears, delete C... all the way
until Z*, but that's too laborious.
The solution to this problem looks easy. I hope it is. Best of luck!
Best regards,
Pedro Bessa
