Just a quick note on this subject: you say drop everything below 12.04LTS
but what about support for 8.04LTS Server and 10.04LTS Desktop and Server?
And not to forget the previous two releases? All of those are still
supported. I'm not quite sure what you want to achieve with this suggested
change, but that is probably to my poor understanding of your suggestion.

I'll have another read in the morning, I hope to make some heads and tails
out of your suggestion.
