Re: Thunderbird 'close' behaviour (to make it as RB or Transmission)

 

Agree.  I have always thought it ridiculous that you have to an application
up and running to get notifications.

I would prefer to see an indicator running that has the actual mail
settings and upon notification, would open whatever is set to the default
email app
(whether that be Tbird or webmail/gmail or something)
