Re: A better Ubuntu Unity Launcher - Part I (mockup)

 

There has been some good criticism posted, and in hindsight I do agree with
most of it (icon spacing and badges), although personally I still think
unity's current focused window indicator isn't that clear :)

I do think the "stacking" idea would be interesting to further expend on
though, could really add some nice organization to the unity launcher. I
like the innovative way the unity launcher handles icon overflow, but it
can definitely get quite cluttered easily (particularly since the launcher
is on the left side, meaning not a lot of vertical space on smaller
widescreen resolutions). I might try coming up with some mockups of my own
for the folders/stacking idea.
