Message #09884
alternative to the removed split view in nautilus?
The argument for removing f3 / split view in nautilus was that gnome-shell and ubuntu/unity supposedly have the "aero snap" feature:
http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2011/09/aero-snap-oneiric
but it takes more time to open then drag 2 windows and sometimes the feature and/or launcher can act buggy with multiple windows.
So maybe, as a proposal, It would help to have a shortcut and/or quicklist item for nautilus (and probably other apps) to auto open 2 windows and snap them side by side, with reduced effort/clicks.
thoughts ?
