So, the PointerBarrier work needs both xorg and libxfixes features.
FYI, the first packages that introduced these features are stored in 
this PPA [1], so I guess that you can check them to get the patches you 
also need in openSUSE.
However, for Xorg I guess you mostly need to backport our 
500_pointer_barrier_thresholds.diff patch, while the libfixes one should 
be easier to port.
