Hi all,
I'm currently finishing up Unity (yet again) for openSUSE (12.2 and
Factory); Currently I would like to know which Xorg components have
been patched; Unity is failing to build due to PointBarrier.
So, the PointerBarrier work needs both xorg and libxfixes features.
FYI, the first packages that introduced these features are stored in
this PPA [1], so I guess that you can check them to get the patches you
also need in openSUSE.
However, for Xorg I guess you mostly need to backport our
500_pointer_barrier_thresholds.diff patch, while the libfixes one should
be easier to port.
Any information shared would be most welcome so I can contact Stephan
Dirscher (SUSE Xorg maintainer) to implement this patches where
needed. It would somehow interesting to merge Unity in Factory once
this is sorted. Our implementation won't feature the slider and for
the time being no OSX like menus.
Nice to know! :)
